McDonald's changes protein in upcoming sandwich launch

McDonald's is set to introduce a new menu item that is sure to grab the attention of fast-food enthusiasts. The fast-food giant announced that the Chicken Big Mac will be available at U.S. restaurants starting on October 10. This new take on a classic menu item was quietly introduced at the McDonnell's pop-up by Chain, according to a press release from McDonald's.

The Chicken Big Mac will feature two chicken patties, Big Mac sauce, lettuce, cheese, and pickles served on a sesame seed bun. With a calorie count of 530, the Chicken Big Mac aims to provide a tasty alternative to the original beef Big Mac that has been a staple on the menu since 1968.

To promote the launch of the Chicken Big Mac, McDonald's has enlisted the help of "internet star" Kai Cenat to host a livestream and capture people's unfiltered reactions to trying the new sandwich. This marketing strategy is part of McDonald's efforts to rejuvenate its sales, which recently saw a decline for the first time in years. In the second quarter, global sales fell by 1%, marking the first decline in 13 quarters.

The Chicken Big Mac will be offered as a limited-time menu item at participating locations while supplies last. McDonald's is hoping that this new addition to its menu will attract customers and help reverse the recent decline in sales. With the launch of the Chicken Big Mac just around the corner, McDonald's is looking to satisfy the cravings of its loyal customers and entice new ones to give the sandwich a try.
