Disney's Slack chat data leaked in recent hack

A recent data leak has exposed internal Slack information from Disney, with hacking group Nullbulge claiming responsibility for publishing data from "almost 10,000 channels." The leak includes messages, files, code, and other data from the company's internal Slack messaging system.

Nullbulge, an anonymous group, stated that the leak provides details on Disney's planned projects and some login information. The group cited issues such as Disney's artist contracts, approach to AI, and consumer disregard as motivations for targeting the entertainment company.

The X account @NullBulgeGroup had been warning Disney for weeks about the hack and impending leak. The group posted about infiltrating Disney's Slack, including a screenshot showing attendance figures at Disneyland Paris.

A Disney spokesperson confirmed that the company is investigating the matter. Disney is not the only major corporation to experience a data breach recently, as AT&T also reported hackers stealing "nearly all" of its customers' call and text records.

An unidentified spokesperson from Nullbulge provided insight into the group's actions, stating that releasing data first and asking questions later is a strategic move to prevent immediate retaliation from the targeted company.
